TCOG’s 2-1-1 Information and Referral Program to Distribute Annual Summertastic! Texoma Youth Guide
SHERMAN, TX, MAY 22, 2017 – Families in Texoma area have grown to depend on the annual Summertastic publication to help plan their children’s summer activities. Delano Smith, TCOG 2-1-1 Program Manager stated, “We start getting calls as early as April to ask when the distribution will begin. Families appreciate having a publication that includes all sorts of summer activities from which to choose from for their children.”
Summertastic is an annual publication which started several years ago in response to 2-1-1 calls received regarding summer activities. It has grown over the years and includes a comprehensive listing of activities with categories including: Art; Day Camp; Holiday & Fundraiser; Horseback & Equine; Music; Nature; Reading; Sports & Fitness; Swimming & Pool; Theater; Vacation Bible School and Other.

The 2nd place winner, Ava Grace Hodge, from Savoy Elementary School and 3rd place winner, Margarito Santana from Callisburg High School are also featured in the publication.
