Parkinson’s disease is a progressive disorder of the central nervous system affecting an estimated 6.3 million people globally. This support group offers discussion of the risks associated with PD and the medications, treatments and daily management of the disease.
‘The Individualism of Parkinson’s Disease’ will be presented at the monthly Support Group meeting on Wednesday, January 7th at 1:30 pm at Pecan Point Assisted Living & Memory Care, 1011 E. Pecan Grove Road in Sherman. The presentation is open to the public for caregivers and those diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
Discussion will center on learning more about the disease and resources for coping and managing your health with educational and informational handouts on Parkinson’s disease and Lewy Body Dementia. Learn the terms associated with this disease and how to make better informed decisions for your future.
