Labor Shed Study
The Texoma region has a labor market draw from at least 11 counties in southern Oklahoma and in Texas along the Red River. In 2011,and the Texoma COG conducted a labor shed study for the employment center of the region, Sherman, TX and Denison, TX, to identify and analyze where workers of the largest businesses reside. This study confirmed that Sherman and Denison alone draw from a civilian laborforce from 7 counties. This includes Bryan County in Oklahoma and Cooke, Fannin, Hunt, Collin, Denton, and Grayson Counties in Texas.
