The Government Services team is responsible for a wide-range of activities designed to improve the quality of life at the community level. From improvements in the way people get around the region to planning for the population increases that are projected in the next thirty years to making sure first responders have the training and equipment they need to get to the scene of the emergency when you call 9-1-1, the Government Services team is focused on finding regional solutions to the challenges the Texoma region faces.
Government Services Program Directory
TCOG’s 9-1-1 Program provides technical and financial support to the 9-1-1 call centers throughout the Texoma region.
TCOG’s Criminal Justice Program works with the law enforcement and victim advocacy communities in the Texoma region to make the best use of local, state and federal resources.
TCOG’s Emergency Planning staff administers state and federal grants to ensure that the Texoma region is appropriately prepared to deal with emergency situations that require a coordinated response.

This program helps communities achieve long-term competitive development through investments in human, information, and natural resources, with the ultimate goal of improving quality of life and also coordinates economic development planning throughout the Texoma region.
Geographic Information System
The Geographic Information System (GIS) Program is leading the regional charge to develop and coordinate the use of GIS technology.
Municipal Solid Waste
The Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) staff administers a program to reduce the amount of municipal solid waste by promoting recycling, composting, and the fight against illegal dumping.
