- The Blossoms of H.O.P.E. knitting/crocheting group has begun a new venture. They are still fashioning beautiful blankets, hats, and scarves, and now some members of the group are going twice monthly to Homestead assisted living facility and teaching a group of residents how to knit and crochet. The teachers are finding it just as rewarding as the students!
- Habitat for Humanity of Grayson County has begun construction on a new home in Denison. Habitat for Humanity is an RSVP volunteer station. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
- The Annual RSVP Volunteer Recognition will be held on April 22 at noon at the Municipal Ballroom in Sherman.
- Senior Day At the Capitol was in Austin on February 12, 2013. RSVP and FGP took a small group of members to speak with our state representatives and hear some valuable information. Our Senior Corps members got the opportunity to share their concerns and see our state government at work. It was a long but very beneficial day.
